Promoting Wellness in the Workplace
At LotusWorks we understand that our employees spend a significant amount of their day in the workplace, therefore, ensuring that there is a healthy connection between work and our employee’s overall well-being is at the forefront of what we do. Educating LotusWorks employees on simple yet effective changes that they can make to their daily routine, formed part of the company’s objective in highlighting Mental Health Awareness Week to employees.
Working together and sharing knowledge is part of life at LotusWorks. In keeping with acknowledging and celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week, LotusWorks employees attended an online webinar hosted by Tom Coleman, VHI Health Squad Member. The webinar focused on 5 key pillars of health, (i) sleep hygiene, (ii) nutrition, (iii) strategies for stress (iv) physical activity, and (iv) defining health and provided employees with simple tips and adjustments that they can make to their daily routine to improve their overall health.
The level of interest and participation in employee well-being initiatives from LotusWorks employees offers the company the opportunity to interact in a setting removed from their day-to-day working activities. Other activities over the course of the month that LotusWorks employees are taking part in are (i) morning yoga, (ii) breaktime walks & (iii) guided meditation.
