LotusWorks recognised for commitment to safety

LotusWorks has been recognised for its commitment to safety by the National Irish Safety Organisation and is a finalist at the upcoming awards ceremony.

The National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) /NISG Occupational Safety Awards take place tomorrow in the Galmont Hotel Galway. The safety awards offer organisations an opportunity to showcase the health and safety performance of their businesses. Winning a NISO / NISG Award demonstrates the positive and proactive culture of safety management that exists within each business.

Commenting on the NISO Awards recognition Paul Bourke, Senior EHS Officer stated “The safety of our people and that of our clients is our top priority and we are continually reviewing and assessing our systems and processes to ensure we meet a common goal – to deliver a high-quality service safely. Our staff have engaged brilliantly with the many safety initiatives we host annually to promote safety within the business, they are driving our safety-first culture”

Cementing their commitment to safety in the workplace, LotusWorks was one of 1,975 companies that took part in Safe + Sound Week USA in August this year. OSHA’s Safe + Sound Campaign is a nationwide opportunity in the USA to raise awareness and understanding of the value of proactive occupational safety and health (OSH) programmes in all workplaces.

In October, LotusWorks teams will participate in European Healthy Workplaces Campaign. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the risks posed by dangerous substances in the workplace and to promote a culture of risk prevention.

LotusWorks has an integrated EHSQ system (Environmental, Health and Safety and Quality) which is certified to ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental System), OHSAS 18001:2007 (Safety Management System) and ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System).

Congratulations to all companies, organisations and governing bodies recognised by NISO and best of luck to everyone at the gala ceremony tomorrow.
Finally, well done to all the LotusWorks staff who are committed to helping to ensure a safe place of work for their colleagues and themselves.
