YEARS EXPEREINCE

Giving back is part of the culture within LotusWorks and each year following a survey to all staff, the company announces a charity of the year. In 2018 the company chose the Irish Cancer Society and during the year organised a number of events to help raise funds for the charity. LotusWorks will continue to support the Irish Cancer society in 2019.

On Friday the 8th of March 2019, Margaret Richardson, who is a volunteer driver for the Irish Cancer Society, came to the LotusWorks Sligo office and accepted a cheque for €5,000 for the Irish Cancer Society. The monies were raised throughout 2018 by the staff and management in LotusWorks through a variety of methods.

Margaret commented “Thanks to the caring staff at LotusWorks, the driving service that we are able to provide to cancer patients across Ireland is invaluable. I live in Sligo, but I may have to travel some distance to a patient and then drive them to their destination. I find it very rewarding and I have met some wonderful people since I began driving for Irish Cancer Society. To know that you are helping somebody in a small way makes it worthwhile. We depend on the fund-raising individuals and companies do a lot of the time, it makes such a huge difference, well done to LotusWorks and on behalf of the cancer society- thanks to all”

The employees at LotusWorks have chosen the Irish Cancer Society as their Charity of the Year for 2019 also and have scheduled key events during the year to make sure their fund raising is successful in 2019.
