Your Job Purpose:

LotusWorks is seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and clients. LotusWorks is renowned for its excellent safety culture and is expanding the team due to global business growth. As a US Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist you will join our Global EHS team with responsibility for developing, implementing, and continuously improving programs within the EHS Management Systems framework. The role works in partnership with Operational management and Site Leadership across multiple multi-national client manufacturing sites throughout the United States.

The EHS Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining safety procedures, leading risk assessment programs, reviewing safe systems of work, conducting training, and managing site inspections/audits whilst identifying and implementing improvements across US client sites. The role will also ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and conformance to internal LotusWorks' policies and procedures.

 

Your Job Description:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures that comply with federal, state, and local regulations and LotusWorks' standards.
  • Promote a continuous improvement culture in relation to all health & safety and environmental work practices on client sites.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, develop corrective action plans, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees and management on health and safety issues and best practices.
  • Leading the investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with management, clients, and other stakeholders to identify and manage risks associated with projects and operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations, best practices, and emerging trends in the industry.
  • Prepare and submit reports on health and safety performance and progress and develop action plans to address areas of concern.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and training exercises to ensure effective response in the event of an emergency.
  • Manage health and safety related documentation and record keeping, including incident reports, training records, and permits

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Good working knowledge of electrical safety (NFPA 70E) and LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) (29 CFR 1910.147).
  • Familiarity with safety requirements on large construction projects
  • Experience in delivering Health & Safety training.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and manage health and safety programs and policies.
  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel to other LotusWorks sites throughout the United States as needed.
