Your Job Purpose:

As an Electrical Commissioning Lead working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the Semiconductor sector. This job is based in a cutting-edge facility in Medford, Massachusetts and various unanticipated Client sites.

You will be responsible for executing start-up and commissioning of an advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Facility, including systems commissioned would be medium voltage switchgear, MV conductors, transformers, electrical distribution, and emergency power backup systems; and performing functional testing to validate performance and redundancy of the electrical systems.

Your Job Description:

  • Walking down all electrical systems before handing over to the Client to make sure the systems are installed per code and Client specifications.
  • Reviewing engineering documents to ensure that the commissioning and startup requirements are accounted for in the design.
  • Responsible for performing and tracking, testing and documentation for the equipment’s sets assigned.
  • Responsible for all personal aspects of safety compliance for the electrical team site wide.
  • Responsible for personal CoHE, and LOTO and pre-task planning by following all procedures regarding the assigned scope of work. Support all customers in driving resolution to electrical and panel schedule issues.
  • Manage the EEW, COHE and lock out/tag out procedures and sign-off.
  • Review electrical Site Incident Prevention Plans for accuracy of content to ensure safe energizations and commissioning of systems.
  • Assist Project Managers in contacts with Client representatives for the handover of the equipment. Supervises, if required, the performance tests.
  • Liaising with installation/Project Engineers to complete commissioning on time and within budget.
  • Supervise 5 to 11 Subordinate employees such as Construction Managers, Superintendents, Cx Engineers, and Project Engineers.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or Foreign Equivalent) in Construction Management, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field, plus 3 years of experience as an Electrical Commissioning Lead/Engineer/Technician, CompEx Electrical Technician or a related occupation.
  • In the alternative, employer will accept 5 years of experience as an Electrical Commissioning Lead/Engineer/Technician, CompEx Electrical Technician or a related occupation.  Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
  • 3 years of electrical commissioning experience in a Semiconductor environment, High Tech Manufacturing and Facilities Equipment environment, Automotive environment or Oil/Gas environment.
  • 3 years of experience of electrical commissioning experience on large scale projects.
  • 2 years’ experience in scheduling electrical startup sequences with scheduling and commissioning software.
  • 2 years’ experience with commissioning emergency power and power quality systems.
  • 2 years’ experience in similar industrial sector type for Major Advanced Manufacturing or Data Center projects.
  • 2 years’ experience in electrical design review of Semiconductor facilities.
  • Must have proven competence with one-line diagrams, division 26 specifications and electrical plans and competence with managing design versus construction discrepancies for resolution.
