LotusWorks announced that it has been recognised in the London Stock Exchange Group’s “1000 Companies to Inspire Europe 2017” in Brussels, Belgium today for the second consecutive year. The report is a celebration of Europe’s fastest growing and most dynamic businesses across the 28 countries of the European Union.
LotusWorks is one of only twenty Irish companies to make the ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Europe’ list launched today. Over twenty-three million companies in Europe were assessed by the London Stock Exchange this year. Headquartered in Sligo, Ireland, LotusWorks, provides engineering and technical solutions to a range of industries in Europe and North America. The company employs 370 staff and works with world-leading companies in the ICT, Medtech and BioPharma sectors.
Fergal Broder CEO LotusWorks, commented “It is terrific to make the top 1000, like all companies we are focusing on retaining and attracting new customers and facing challenges daily. This is great recognition for the LotusWorks teams that are the drivers of our success- our people are key to what we’ve achieved to date and our plans for the future. It’s very satisfying to have all our efforts and hard work recognised by an organisation as high profile as the London Stock Exchange Group”
To be included in the list, companies needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers. Speaking at the event Xavier Rolet, Chief Executive, London Stock Exchange Group said “If Europe is to have a sustainable economic future, it must back its engines of economic growth and only real source of potential job-creation: its 23million SMEs. It is critical that we continue improving access and cutting the cost of finance for fast growing companies, giving them access to long-term patient equity capital to fund their enormous potential. This is an ambition we share with the EU Commission and applaud its initiative to develop deeper and more connected capital markets across the continent through the Capital Markets Union project.
“LSEG has long been committed to supporting high growth companies. Together our 1000 Companies to Inspire Europe reports, international growth market, AIM, and business support and capital raising programme, ELITE, shine a light on the fastest growing companies across the continent and their critical importance to innovation, job creation and Europe’s future economic resilience.”
