LotusWorks Calibration Process
Selecting a Standard
Selecting a calibration standard involves choosing a traceable reference standard or device, that will ensure accurate and reliable calibration of measurement instruments. Proper selection is crucial for maintaining test accuracy measurement ratios, meeting quality standards, and complying with regulatory requirements.
Comparison
Comparing an Instrument Under Test (IUT) to a Traceable Standard is a crucial step in the calibration process. This comparison ensures that the instrument provides accurate and reliable measurements according to established reference values.
Adjustments
The calibration process involves several key steps to ensure the accuracy of the Unit Under Test (UUT). First, an accuracy check is performed by comparing the UUT readings with the known values from the traceable standard and calculating the difference between the measurements. This is followed by an error analysis, where the measurement error or deviation is determined by calculating the absolute or relative difference between the UUT readings and the standard values. If the UUT readings fall outside the acceptable range or exhibit significant deviation, a calibration adjustment must be made in accordance with the manufacturer’s calibration procedures or guidelines. Finally, a re-measure step is conducted after adjustments to verify that the UUT readings are now aligned with the traceable standard.
